Per the advice of our vet we post once a week. We chose Sundays since we had time to sit down and do the posting without being rushed and at the same time would bathe them and trim nails. It is imperative not to place tape to tight as it could cause loss of blood flow to the ends of the ear which could potential cause loss of the ear. Don't worry just think about how tight you want a bandaid on your finger. If in doubt take it off and do it again, we had to do this a few times at the begining to get the hang of what it should look like when we first started in the breed. Always take the tape counter clockwise around the ear and allow the inner natural fold. Per our vet her rule of thumb is for every 30 minutes that the puppies ears are left down just add one week of posting to the duration. We did the ears religiously and never had them down for more than 20 min at a time and all of ours have been done by 7 months of age. We wait until pupy teeth are lost, adult teeth are in and add one month. If you have gone that far don't give up before the race is won you will not regret persevering.
